DROP IT!
Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-09-17
DROP IT! itself collects no data about you — no data brokers, and the game is fully playable offline. The app is financed by optional advertising from Google and keeps anonymous usage statistics; both involve data. The Advertising and Usage statistics sections below say exactly what, and every choice about them is yours.
Data collected
The game itself: none. No personal data, no identifiers, no location, no contacts, no camera or microphone access. The two exceptions are advertising and anonymous usage statistics — each has its own section below.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game can show two kinds of ads: a video you may choose to watch to continue a run, and an occasional ad between rounds — never during play. Ads are delivered by Google AdMob; through AdMob's mediation an ad can also come from the partner network Unity Ads (Unity Technologies). Whichever network serves the ad processes your IP address (from which a rough location can be estimated), technical device information, and how the ad performs; with your separate permission via Apple's tracking dialog it also uses the advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland nothing of this happens before Google's consent form has asked you — your decision covers Google and its certified ad partners, Unity Ads included — and you can change or withdraw it at any time in Settings → Ad privacy settings. Saying no never blocks the game: ads become non-personalized or simply do not appear. Google processes this data under policies.google.com/privacy, Unity under unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Usage statistics
To understand how the game is doing — which modes get played, where players stop, whether an update helps — the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase. It records app events (for example: game started or ended, mode, score, duration, daily challenge completed) together with a randomly generated app-instance ID, technical device information and an approximate location estimated from your IP address. These statistics are never linked to your name, your Apple account or your rankings profile, and we never see individual players — only aggregated numbers. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the same Google consent form that governs ads also governs this: without your consent, no identifiers are stored for analytics. You can change your decision at any time in Settings → Ad privacy settings. Google processes this data under policies.google.com/privacy; details on Firebase are at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Stored on your device
Scores, statistics, collection, missions, achievements, level and settings live only on this device; deleting the app deletes them, and “Reset progress” removes them any time. The single exception: if you created a rankings profile, your player name, country and monthly best scores also live on our server until you delete the account.
Internet
Outside of advertising, usage statistics and the optional rankings, the game sends nothing on its own — it is fully playable offline. Sharing opens the system share sheet; you decide where, and the app never learns it. If you use Game Center, your score and Game Center name go to Apple to appear in the rankings; Apple is responsible for that under Apple's own privacy policy. Game Center is optional and off until you sign in. When ads are active and permitted, ad requests go to Google as described above.
Optional account
You can sign in with Apple, but you never have to - the whole game works without an account. If you do, the app receives an anonymous identifier from Apple and, only if you choose to share it, your name. Both stay in this iPhone’s keychain and are never uploaded. Signing in also lets you join the optional monthly world rankings: if you create a rankings profile, exactly three things are stored on our server (hosted by Supabase in Frankfurt, EU): your chosen player name, your selected country, and your monthly best scores. Nothing else - not your real name, not your email, not your Apple identifier in readable form. Deleting your account in Settings erases that server profile completely.
Your data, your control
Everything the game stores, you can erase yourself, immediately and completely: Settings → Reset progress removes every score and statistic, and deleting the app removes everything it ever saved on this device. Your advertising choices are yours to change at any time — the consent decision in Settings → Ad privacy settings, and Apple's tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking. Apart from an optional rankings profile — which you erase yourself via Settings › Account › Delete Account — there is no server-side copy of your game data: nothing to request, nothing that could outlive the app.
• Settings › Account › Delete Account - erases the identifier and name from the keychain AND your rankings profile with all scores from our server.
• iOS Settings › your name › Sign in with Apple › DROP IT! › Stop Using - detaches the app from your Apple Account.
Children
There is no chat and there are no purchases, and the game itself collects nothing. Ads and usage statistics only run under the rules in their sections above — in the EEA, only after Google's consent form has asked you — and a rankings profile exists only if you create one yourself.
